Overview

Expanding or Bust Anchors are made for installation in augured holes. The bust anchor is formed by expanding wings that flare out.

Expanding Anchor for 8" (203 mm) Hole used with 0.625" (15.9 mm) or 0.75" (19.1 mm) Diameter Rod

Take full advantage of the eight blade wedges to expand into undisturbed soil.

One piece formed anchor with wings and a base

Formed metal cavity on the underside of base unit accepts the nut of the anchor rod

These anchors are coated with a rust inhibitor.

Specification

Installation

During installation, a hole to the size listed on the table for the anchor is augured in line with the guy angle and to a depth based on the rod length. The rod is secured to the anchor and lowered into the hole. An expanding-and-tamping tool is used to strike the top of the anchor and open the blades into undisturbed soil. The hole is then back filled and tamped.
